The mirror was smudged with some type of cream; even so you could see your reflection just fine. You hated the girl looking back at you. She wasn’t you at all she just had your face. Starting to pull back your hair, you stop half way and stare at the long [h/c] hair that fell around you.
Frowning you drop your hair, you want to cut it but what would HE say? He always tells you your hair is beautiful. Long hair just didn’t suite you, plus it was more of a hassle then it was worth. Flipping the [h/c] locks over your shoulder so it all lay down your back you turn around making your way out of the small bath room.
“Being in the military should be the only reason he needs to know why I have cut my hair.” Muttering this you stride down the hall grabbing some scissors from the supply room, setting out on a search for a person to cut it as well. Walking into the kitchen you see Petra sitting at the table reading a book. Looking at her for a second you walk up to her and grab her hand, kneeling next to her on the floor.
“Petra, can you do me a favor?” The girl sets her book aside and smiles at you.
“Sure [name]. What do you need?” Petra asked as she looked down at you. Standing to your feet you hand her the scissors.
“Cut my hair for me.” Perta’s eye widened. Standing up she looked down at the scissors in her hand then up to you.
“B-but your hair… It’s so pretty [name]. Why do you want cut it?” You shake your head and put your hand on her shoulder.
“I just… Don’t want to deal with it anymore. It’s my hair Petra.” Petra nods agreeing to the mission you have presented to her.
“Let’s go to the bathroom and do this. That why no one bothers us.” Petra and you walk to the nearest bathroom and you stand in front of the mirror as Petra pulls a brush through your hair and then starts snipping away at your hair.
“How short do you want it [name]?” Petra’s voice was soft and even.
“Just to here?” She presses her fingers to about two inch’s under your shoulders.
“Um no, I want it shorter, about the same length as yours or shorter, I hate having to put my hair up. I don’t see why he doesn’t want me to cut my hair. I am a soldier for gods sake. I can make my own dictions. I understand he likes my hair but it’s too much work, and we only have so much time to get ready in the morning.” You complain with a loud sigh as Petra laughs behind you cutting the last bits of hair away. She then sets the scissors down and took a step back examining her handy work.
“I think it's more he thinks it’s attractive. You know how he is about hair. [Name] I have to know; is there some secret to growing your hair out that I should know? Your hair was so long and I just cut it just at the start of the year…” Petra crossed her arms and put one hand on her face sighing dramatically. “I wish my hair was like yours~!” You laugh and shake your hair out making sure all the cut hair was off your body.
“I like it. But that’s not surprising. You always do a great job on my hair!” Twirling around in a tiny circle you rush over to her and hug the girl in thanks.
“I should clean up this mess…” looking down at the long strands of hair on the ground you laugh. “I’ll go get the broom!” Petra laughs.
“I’m gonna go finish my book, I’ll see you later [name]!” Petra went her own way as you skipped from the bathroom to get the broom. Honestly, you didn’t know how he would react to seeing how much of your hair you had cut off.
After cleaning, it was about time for dinner so you just headed straight for the dining hall. Walking in you grab your food and sit down with Mikasa and Sasha, they both look at you and gasp.
“Y-you cut your hair!!” Sasha nearly falls over as she points at you, mouth wide open. “B-b-but… Your hair was s-“ Mikasa slapped Sasha mouth closed rather roughly and smiled at you happily.
“I love it [name], It really suites you. Does J-“You shake your head cutting her off.
“No, I haven’t seen him yet. I just got it done about 15 or so minutes ago.” Mikasa nodded and Sasha gave a nerves look over your shoulder. “W-well here he comes now so get ready to explain…” Sasha then shoved her ENTIRE piece of bread into her mouth. You could feel the heat radiating off a body that stood rather close to you back. Fingers ran through your hair slowly as your eyes widen.
“Why have you done this?” The voice behind you was quiet. Turning slowly you see Jean standing there with a look of devastation on his face. “Your hair [name]….” You put your arms out and wrap your hands around his.
“Jean, I’m a big girl… Anyway, it’s just hair. It will grow out.” Jean dropped into the set next to you sulking as he smalmed his head onto the table with a loud bang.
“I liked your hair though… [Name] why~?” There was a first for everything you suppose. After all it’s not every day your boyfriend, Jean Krischtein whined about something to the point you could hear it in his voice.
All of a sudden Jean was gasping and gripping at Mikasa’s arms as she shoved a piece of bread down his throat from across the table.
“Shut up Jean, her hair looks great! Now just eat your food!”
